There are several ways in which you can get in touch with the web hosting company whose services you’re using, but the one that you will invariably find no matter which company you select is a trouble ticket system. It’s the easiest correspondence channel for several reasons. If no help desk staff representative is free at the moment and they’re all occupied, a telephone call may not be answered, but a ticket will invariably hit home. Plus, you can copy & paste large pieces of information without needing to worry about printing errors, and if a particular problem needs more time to be fixed or a number of responses must be exchanged, all the information will be in the very same place, so each party can always see the comments written by the other one. The disadvantage of using tickets to contact your hosting company is that they’re usually separate from the web hosting platform, so if you need to supply information or to adhere to instructions, you’ll need to use at least two different admin interfaces and this number may increase if you want to manage several domains. In addition, many hosting providers reply to tickets after hours, or even once in every 24 hours, and for you as a customer, this means wasted time whilst waiting around for a reply.
